life started with a granny spec irish starlet back in march 2004

did a lot of custom work to the exterior so it looked like this in november 2004

desided to mod the bumper and fit a glanza front in january 2006

then bought a smashed glanza in march of 2006 and started the conversion in may,had it finished by august....

lasted a month til i blew the engine due to boost creep and no fueling mods.
bought a new engine,changed the entire kit and wheels,and heres a sneak preview of how things are now...

over the year it has been sitting up ive collected a good few toys for it,car should be near complete apart from the new turbo set up in a months time,the exterior will be finished by the end of the week,its getting a full respray.will get a spec list up soon.

BRAKES: discs all round,3gs at front and rear with braided brake lines all round.

full respary in original toyota purplish blue
full 98/99 spec glanza kit including front and rear splitters.

new engine spec.
new spec is to be
wiesco 74.5mm forged pistons
scat rods with new arp bolts
block already rebored,honed and skimmed
brand new crankshaft
new acl bearings
new oil pump
fully balanced bottom end
new 1.4mm athena hg
fully rebuild head,reshimmed etc with some custom headwork.
blitz/orc clutch kit with lightweight fly.

i picked up a brand new clutch disc,have to get the flywheel refaced.
all bolts to be replaced with new ones.
probobly missed out on some spec,and theres some i dont want to give away.;)

well after recently doing some work on andy87's car,it gave me some motivation to start sorting this thing out.
i started with the brakes,removed the old ones,and noticed quite a bit of surface rust on the hubs and arms.

due to the amount of salt of the roads from 2 winters ago im guessing,as the rest of the car is perfect.
have a few scuffs on the inner arms from running big wheels a few years ago,so will tidy that up too.
so im going to remove all,strip them back,prim and paint them,and refit.going to completlry polybush the arms while im at it.

so i test fitted the custom brake set up ive going on the car.
first off i compared the old disc size to the new.

them mounted the disc and caliper,and trial fitted a wheel to make sure it clears the caliper ok.

all good.
once i have the suspension side of things sorted and all the bits painted,ill roll the car into the garage and get cracking on at getting it running again.
will post some updates as i go.


picked these up a few weeks back,very happy with them!
fancied a change from the rays,and wanted to give the car a fresh look for after the winter

some updates.
new turbo arrived after near 2 months of waiting!
its an Andy Forrest AFP4H td04 hybrid.
it has a bigger compressor wheel,machined housing and uprated bearings and thrusts.
andy has assured me that its capable of up to 1.7 bar.

also got my st185 celica calipers refurbed and painted ford candy red.
also refubed and poly bushed the bottom arms,and cleaned up and repainted the hubs also.
hope to get all built up and back in the car this week or next.

removing some redundant wires from the engine bay loom at the minute.
going to stick at it now and finish it.

update time.
having a lot of hold ups,with personal shit,waiting on parts,parts to be made,parts missing etc.
but i booked off all next week,sole'ly to finish this.

so,entered the garage to this....as id stripped alot off it for various reasons and my crazy ideas.

we stripped alot of crap out that wont be used,so the engine bay will be alot less cluttered compared to most.


we are working on our own cars to finish things up,so no more starlets in the yard for awile!



well all
these will be the last few pics of the car for awile,i and my mrs(some of which without me knowing!) took these the night before we left for oz.
the last few days i had before i left,i got the car as close to complete as i could.
its sitting around 90% finished,its driving,boosting,etc,just a few silly things to do,ill address them next summer when im home,or my bro will in the mean time for me.
