Well, warrent time came and went, twice. after 10+ hours fixing things up I finally am wof'd and rego'd.

Exhaust has been raised, the hangers modified and reshaped to fit ep82 rather then ep91. the tip has been moved to right under the rear bumper rather then hanging down under the car

Endcaps have been fitted to ensure the chrome fartcan cannot be seen at all anymore (:

car is now 30mm lower in the rear and 15mm in front, so now sitting even... new shorter shock casings in rear, and adjustable suspension up front mean I can now actually drive the car on the road as its no longer sitting on bumpstops! never thaught I would miss suspension travel, but after trip 1 to the wof shop I knew it must be fixed... however with travel came wickid guardrub.

fronts have now been flared, with plastic flares remade longer to fit, and no longer held on with cableties, and rear guard were chopped about 3cm higher and wider, with inner and outer skins both flared out then welded back together. "custom" hacked up 5cm wide fibreglass flares now completly cover the rear wheels. had alot of fun as gt weather stip bodykit meant to beign with they flared outwards rather then inwards as they went down the car, just need to resin and bog out around the guard to get them sitting smooth and looking origional equip, then will upload pics...

Finally sussed the richness issue going on here, led back to the timing and fuelling being molested by a dead coolant temp sensor.
Even running rich, with the timing sussed the feeling of 10psi on the td04l was incredible, cant wait to be running 15.
After sussing some new far stiffer rear trd shocks and springs, and sorting out 195 45 15s for more low and more stretch/ less guardrub, attention was turned to making sure it goes as fast as it looks.

New evo style front bumper was sourced with far more room in the front
New larger radiator
New piping to the still horribly too large I/C which I am still using
cutting and rewelding the top slam pannel to come out of the car further allowed a far better placment of radiator, now having decent space from the exhaust and the ic piping which were all heating each other up. The mani has been heat wrapped and alloy heat seperators/shields are being made up to vent heat out of the reverse bonnet vent and not let it reach the intake.

Lightweight wise there was nothing more to take out of the car bar the dash, and attacking more pannels with the grinder. so this has begun as well. will give the interiour a quick respray once everything that can be removed has. Moving the fuses, ecu and other electronics to their new home at the back of the car should help a little with the remaining weight balance (:

Pics will hopefuly be up soon once I bother to dig up the camera

PICS!! WUU!!!

Image

Still running the old 195/50 tyres and old suspension in this pic. with new 195/45 and new suspension all round, it sits way lower. have not got any photos yet. still has to leave my garage...

Image

Bumper has been replaced with a customised wide bodied evo style to fit new customed wide front guards. also this is still on higher suspension and higher tyres

Image

So the new offset with the -offset at the back now. still old suspension and tyres.

Image

A quick pic at the lack of interiour. Dash has now been cut up , shelled out and the new cluster has almost been finished. seats sit on custom ribs sitting me lower and futher back then the factory rails could go.

Image

A half assed pic of the engine bay. This photo is quite old, but thaught I should post somthing atleast.

PICS!!
finally got the new suspension and tyres sussed. took it out for a quick run. almost no guardrub, will set the rear damper for harder and wind it up a few turns then should be all gone. did a skid. had both tyres spinning pretty evenly, supprised me as im sure I dont have an lsd. Im gon blame the cheap "hero" tyres, but check it out next time the fronts jacked up anyway.

Image
Heres the back of the car. home made skirts look mint now flaring up to the back. having to hold the boot open 'cause the struts are missing somewhere... if you look closly you can see the hatch has been hollowed out from the inside to save a few grams

Image
The rear without me holding it open

Image
The driveway shot. because it never gets driven far

Image
Some smoke

Image
V-tec kicks in...

If anybody knows how to put those last three shots into a gif image for my avatar, please help. I have no idea how...

So the skirts, endcaps and bumper have all been replaced. have widend a new set of sideskirts to match the flares, and have spent the last two weeks learning how to bog properly.. new evo bumper is on with a home job front lip.. and gona get the gun out and black etch prime the whole car tomorrow as a topcoat. a select few stickers advertising my business and my traditional number 13 will then go on over the weekend, and if weather holds, I will take a photoshoot of her new paint (:

Here are some pics of before the welding and bogging job which has been happening this last week. This is how the body looks now, but with all the lines and joins removed, and the bodykit now wider and flowing from the body rather then just bolted on... notice the awesome riveted on front lip? made that out of 20min spare time and some $20 garden edging plastic, still feel pretty proud of it...

Image
The side on shot. looks so much better then this now, all smoothed out and matte black

Image
A close up of my freshly repaired evo style bumper and my homejob front lip

Pokezzzz (:

Image
Got low??

hopefuly new shots will be up soon, car looks a million times better now with all the body work. now to get the engine sorted so it goes as fast as it looks like it should... also did I mention I have gone lower?... I have gone lower... Ripped the bumper off trying to get down the driveway... so worth it (:

Not much happening at all with the starlet at the moment. by that I meen nothing at all. has been put in the workshop and have been sussing my new $1300 daily driver, was braught with plans to leave it stock bar 2" lowering. ended up far far lower and stanced out. still a good daily though as I dont need to worry about it like I did the starlet. if it scrapes or gets knocked, I dont even care, it just gets thrashed. heres a few pics to show how Iv been keeping busy

Rolling shot, looks too high in this photo, but love how it shows off the stance
