Pukekohe Park Raceway

Post by The_Dino » Mon Jun 05, 2006 12:28 pm

How many people would want to take their car on track and see wat it can really do.
I reckon we should hire out Pukekohe Raceway and have a fun filled day of racing.
My mate rung up last year and asked how much it was to hire out the the track and they said it was $500.
so like if we had 25 people going and each pitch in 20 bucks we could do it.

So yea just an idea :?:

another option is just rocking along to an open day. they have them every week and they're usually not particularly busy.

think its about $80, but you dont have to have minimum numbers for it.

I mentioned it in the thread about our drag day, but i didnt want to push it too much as it might have detracted from people wanting to go to the drags.

true every week end you say how do you find out when the track is open for open days. and some people mite not want to go on open days as they might think they will just get in the way of other people.

Everytime it says "controlled testing" is an open day.

Dont worry about getting in anyones way - they let you out in groups of similar vehicles for 15 min at a time, so you wont be sharing the track with a V8 supercar doing testing, dont worry.

15 min blocks. probably about 5 - 6 of them over the course of the day, if you get there early

well, when i was up with my mate testing his race bike, he would usually get about 12 laps in per block, and he was doing 1m05's.

it might depend, i noticed the v8 supercars would only go out for a few laps at a time, but that might have been their choice rather than the track operators.
