Forum read option

Post by Sleepn » Mon Jun 14, 2010 1:27 pm

Does anyones "Mark forums read" option work for them? The only way I can do it is go through each topic automatically.

On most forums I frequent when I leave the page and come back later (whilst still on automatic login) all the pages which I didn't read when I last visited the forum are marked read, is there a way to activate this option?

I often pop in but would rather all the topics were marked as read that were active the last time I visited the page instead of having to go through and reset them all, would rather the topics to only be flagged if they are new / have a reply since I last visited.

Cheers

Works fine for me? I just use the "view active topics" thing, saves going through all the boards individually

Yeah I have no problem with topics been shown up as unread, when you hop off SC with auto log-on still on and come back a day later are all the topics that you didn't read the last time you visited still marked as unread or have they gone to a read status?

The "mark topics read" function under all the subsections like tech etc work fine, but for some reason the "mark forum read" at the top right of the forum main page has never worked for me so I have to go through each sub section and mark as read, ideally it should just mark all the topics read each time you leave the site like Toyspeed etc imo. Thoughts?

Mine works fine? Anyone else have the issue? No idea why it would affect some but not others. IE vs Firefox?

I've check all the admin controls and there isn't anything specific to the 'mark posts read' but there is an update available. Will try and find some time this weekend and see if that fixes it. There may be some down time experienced.
