Logging In - Confirmation Code

Post by ProphetX » Wed Feb 24, 2010 10:33 am

Do you reckon you could change the confirmation code software? There have been a few occassions where I've forgotten my password and after a few tries it asks for a confirmation code to prove I'm not an evil hacking robot. The problem is that the images are really hard to see so it often takes half a dozen tries just to get the confirmation code right.

Capcha is all good. There are plenty of others out there too.

The problem is that we get a shiz load of false/bot logins which is why its set like it is. We can notch back the scramble a touch to make things easier thou.

Otherwise - try www.passpack.com secure place to store all your passwords etc... all encrypted before they're even uploaded to the site, in such a way that even the owners / admin of the site can't access the passwords you save there....

Might sound stupid to have all your eggs in one basket - but read this page then judge for yourself: http://www.passpack.com/en/security/

(sorry bout the thread hijack  )

Interesting stuff.

Have turned the crazyness down on the visual confirmation so that should help.
