Heres some photos the previous owner took.



Brought it off a lovely old lady who used if for daily driving to the city, till she started taking the bus to save petrol/parking.
Comes with the mighty 4E-FE and C50F 4WD box
Everything is stock standard, apart from the prerequisite fluffy seat covers and battery. It also came with the factory owners manual, full service history and was serviced every 2000kms
.
Being a Soleil L its also fully optioned with factory power windows, air con, power steering, factory toyota cd/tape unit and mudflaps
.
Immediate plans are to keep it as tidy as possible and install a better stereo and alarm, I wont be doing any stupid mods that cause it to be hacked up.
Will be looking into lowering it at some-point and perhaps some wide wheels to fill the gaurds.
Then maybe a high comp 5E-FHE

Right so after finding out its only running fwd on the dyno, I emailed Mark from TS to price up a new drive shaft, and no suprise, the part has been discontinued.
So my options are
1. Try and find one second hand
2. Put in a C5* and run it fwd
3. Be an idiot and convert it to rwd using a solid shaft (sounding better all the time)

Ok update on the driveshaft situation, after pricing a brand new EP95 one up from the local toyota dealer and subsequently falling over laughing (
$3330
), I decided to get one from Mark via TS ($1075)

UPDATE! Went to Fatman's on Sunday to fit the drive-shaft. Decided to do a write up after a member from the UK starlet forum told me he was doing the same thing and would need some help.
First things first, car was jacked up so the wheels could spin freely.


Managed to get a decent look at the old shaft, note the huge amount of fluid sprayed on the underside.

So took it out and laid it next to the new EP95 one.

A few things that were slightly different became apparent.
Firstly the mount points for the exhaust hanger thing are on opposite sides, not a huge deal as the factory exhaust is fine without it.

Secondly the lengths are also slightly different, also not a problem as the mounts have room for the bolts to slide.
The major difference however is the flange on the transfer case side. The holes were out a few mm's


So after thinking about it for a while, we decided to see if we could swap the flanges around.
If you look carefully at the photo two back, you'll notice the special 'deformed' nut.
In order to get this off you need to either, stick a small flat screwdriver down the hole (hard), or grind some of the top corner where the hole is to make it bigger (what we did)
Then its just the simple step of putting the old flange on, which bolts straight on.

And putting it back in the car.

Update!
Finally got around to putting some tyres on the TOM's wheels I got from finx a while back and chuck them on the car. Was after a specific size (185/55R14) as I was after a low sidewall and it also helped to keep the speedo accurate. After doing a bit of browsing around the local tyre shops, I settled for a set of GT radial Champiro GT. Was originally after the Champiro GTX but found out they was recently discontinued.


Hopefully up next, some form of lowering, probably springs. Would love to have them done in time for TS Megameet in October

Car is going in for some panel & paint today. Getting the boot resprayed due to the usual starlet clear coat pealing, plus getting a small amount of rust on the door taken care of. Also getting the graphics redone as some of it will have to be removed.
